How each entry is formatted

Every source-derived entry on this page follows the same pattern:

• What changed — a short original summary, in our words. We never copy article bodies.
• Who cares — detailers, fabricators, estimators, engineers, PMs, buyers.
• Action — a practical, non-engineering next step.
• Source — attribution plus a link to the original: Summarized from AISC News. Read the original at the source link.

Why this page exists

Standards move slowly until they don't. A revised standard or certification requirement that lands mid-project turns into spec conflicts, resubmittals, and RFIs. Catching the announcement early is cheap; catching it at fab is not.
